Meditation is the practice of relaxing your body and breathing in order to listen to yourself closer and connect to the universe deeper. Meditation can calm anxiety and aid in better decision-making. Incorporating meditation into my daily life helped me think clearer, be more positive and put myself in the shoes of others to be more understanding. Meditating has helped me answer many life questions and helped guide me. Today I will be talking about ways to meditate, breathing importance, and how to make it an easier daily routine.
To begin, it is important that you get comfortable to relax easier. Whether this be lying down, sitting, or standing, choose your meditation position and begin taking breaths.
Breathing is the most important part of meditation. Slowing and deepening your breathing will aid in relaxation and focus. Start by taking deep breaths in, and exhaling after each breath. Focus on breathing at first, and you will eventually begin to focus on the natural sounds around you and hear the knowledge you are supposed to.
Random thoughts are very normal. It is extremely normal to have a hard time keeping all of the thoughts in or out of your head. After all, the human brain is not the best at focusing on one thing sometimes. However, the longer you practice breathing, you will slowly find it easier to focus and the thoughts you want to think will soon enter your mind.
You can meditate many different ways including vocally or internally. Repeating sounds like “om” relates to beaming chakra meditation (which will be in a future blog post!) Other methods include placing your hands and fingers in certain positions, for example with each finger tip touching the opposite, focuses the energy.
Sometimes, when people think of meditation they think it takes an immense amount of expertise and diligence. The truth is, anyone can do it if your intentions are good. Adding a 5-10 minute session is a small way to change your day entirely. Starting small is a great way to help grow in your meditation journey. This way, you are not overloaded, confused or stressed, and you can truly grow in your journey and slowly increase your session time.
Meditation is a great way to change your decision making throughout your day for a more positive outcome. It can be done virtually anywhere that is comfortable and quiet and can be done in slowly increasing increments. Meditation brought immense order and clarification into my life when I was in a very tough spot. Being Consistent enough to do it every day, brought an abundance of blessings into my life daily. I hope this article gave you great information on how to meditate and slowly add it to your daily routine.
